I made it! Alright, alright.. let me back up. I was one of 12 selected for Utah States Music Therapy program out of over 60 applicants! I auditioned over 6 weeks ago and was suppose to hear this news on the 20th, but nothing came. I checked the next day... and the next day... and the next day... until finally, last Friday, the letter was in the mail! I called my dad before I even opened the letter and started crying, I had been a nervous wreck the whole week. I read the letter over the phone with my parents and they were so happy for me! I am definitely looking forward to perusing a degree in Music Therapy! I also happy to hear that a few of my buddies made the program too!
So, as soon as I finally settled down enough to drive to work after sitting in my car talking on the phone, I went to start my car, and I got nothing! I called my roommate and had her jump start me. I drove around for about a half hour and stopped at a gas station for a snack. Guess what, my car didn't start again! Luckily, there was a car directly in front of me and the owner was vacuuming it. I asked if they could jump start me and I drove directly to AutoZone to get a new battery. I was a little late for work but everything was okay, $100 dollars later. After Archer's dad, Ben got home, I again went to start my car with it's fresh new battery and... it didn't start! So, luckily I knew what I was doing ;) because Ben seemed a little confused, and we jump started my car and to AutoZone I drove again! The positive connector was bad; a small detail they probably should have noticed when they installed it the first time. But, $103 dollars and a lot of hassle later, I now have a car that starts great!
That night, My friend Kim Perez came to Logan with her brother Adan, his girlfriend, and her roommate Julie. Adan and his girlfriend Kate stayed with one of his companions from his mission that also lives here in Logan and goes to USU. Kimi and her roommate stayed with me. We all went to dinner at Olive Garden and had fun chatting and painting our nails. The next morning we headed to the Festival of Colors in Spanish Fork! It was loads of fun! There was a ton of traffic and it took about 3 hrs to get there from here. GAH!
I got to Ashley's house around 6 and then we went to a showing of The Hunger Games! It was sooo good!! I loved it and I love Peeta! We had some crazy adventures at a park after words too!
The next day, I watched sweet Amanda (Ashley's younger sister) give her first talk in church and she did great! I spent the afternoon with Ethan. We drove blondie to my Grandma and Grandpa Jensen's grave in Farmington and then we headed to West Point again to visit Grandma and Grandpa Hansen. It was a great weekend and I am so looking forward to more fun that is coming up!
