General Conference April 2013

No, I haven't fallen off the face of the earth; it only seems like it! I am a horrible blogger when it comes to consistency but, I hope you enjoy what I have to say today.

General Conference! I was really looking forward to it this year! I learned so much and was able to take in a lot of insight for myself and what I need to be doing. The highlighting theme for me? OBEDIENCE. I felt like every talk lead back to the same idea. It seemed to me that these men of god were continuously saying "You know the commandments you need to follow, the ordinances you need to strive for, and you know how to repent... so DO IT!" There were a lot of other fine details that were spoken of that I have taken to heart but over all, that is the message I received.

In closing, I would just like to share my testimony. I know that my Savior lived and died for me. He sacrificed his life for me that I might live and have the gift of the atonement. I know that my Father in Heaven created this world and me. I feel forever indebted and grateful to my Savior and Father in Heaven. I know that I have been blessed with the gift of the Holy Ghost and I am grateful for it everyday. I know that Thomas S. Monson and his apostles are truly men of god and receive revelation for us as a church. I know that the temple is the house of the lord where sacred ordinances take place. I am looking forward to going there someday! I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and that Joseph Smith did restore this gospel in these latter days. I am so blessed to be a  member of this church and to be able to behold it's truths. I have faith and a testimony and I will forever continue to "fan the flame of my faith" and allow it to flourish and grow!

Thank you for reading and I am so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends that care and support me! I love you all!

Also, on a side note, I had a surprise job interview last thursday for a job in Pinedale, WY where my parents are now living. It is for the position of a Forestry Aid for the Forest Service and I would be making great money that I can save! I am supposed to find out tomorrow if I was selected for the position, so prayers would be greatly appreciated!!!
